Because of its amplitude as well as gravity, we cannot keep silent regarding the problem of children victims of abuse.
As a phenomenon, an abuse appears when adults apply harmful treatments to children, causing them organic injuries or psychical disorders. Besides the brutalities committed voluntarily, various authors accepts that abuse also contains aspects of neglect, lack of care, abandonment.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE
Sometimes, children are psychologically abused, so that their psychological and emotional development is endangered by the adults' using some sadist or terror treatments, through belittling, rejection, not understanding their possibilities, emotional abandonment or abnormal punishments.
SEXUAL ABUSE
Children may also be the object of sexual abuse, both within the family and outside it. Children may be exposed to one or many types of abuse.
