ANPDC
The National Authority for the Protection of Children's Rights (ANPDC) is the specialized body of the Romanian Government providing methodological co-ordination in the field of child rights protection.

ECPAT
ECPAT is a network of organizations and individuals working together to eliminate the commercial sexual exploitation of children. It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation.

ENSCW - European Network on Street Children Worldwide
ENSCW - The European Network on Street Children Worldwide (ENSCW) unites non-governmental, governmental, multilateral and international organizations that are committed to addressing the rights and needs of street children all over the world.

The Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children
Launched in April 2001, the Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children aims to speed the end of corporal punishment of children across the world.
The Global Initiative aims to:

  • form a strong alliance of human rights agencies, key individuals and non-governmental organizations against corporal punishment;
  • make corporal punishment of children visible by building a global map of its prevalence and legality, ensuring that children's views are heard and charting progress towards ending it;
  • lobby state governments systematically to ban all forms of corporal punishment and to develop public education programmes;
  • provide detailed technical assistance to support states with these reforms.

Global March Against Child Labour
The movement began with a worldwide march when thousands of people marched together to jointly put forth the message against child labour. The march, which started on January 17, 1998, touched every corner of the globe, built immense awareness and led to high level of participation from the masses. This march finally culminated at the ILO Conference in Geneva. The voice of the marchers was heard and reflected in the draft of the ILO Convention Against the Worst Forms of Child Labour. The following year, the Convention was unanimously adopted at the ILO Conference in Geneva.

ILO – The International Labour Organization
The International Labour Organization is the UN specialized agency which seeks the promotion of social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights. It was founded in 1919 and is the only surviving major creation of the Treaty of Versailles which brought the League of Nations into being and it became the first specialized agency of the UN in 1946.

The International Social Service
The International Resource Centre for Protecting Adopted Children is a recent programme of the International Social Service, which was launched in order to facilitate the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (adopted in 1989) and of the Hague Convention on Child Protection and Cooperation with a view to respecting the stipulations regarding international adoptions.

Radda Barnen – Save the Children Sweden
Save the Children Sweden works for promoting child rights. The basis of Save the Children Sweden's work is the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the United Nations' Declaration on Human Rights. 
First of all, Save the Children Sweden works for those children who have the most difficulty in having their rights respected and provided.
This concerns mainly those:

  • children who are exploited in harmful work and are victims of violence and abuse (for example, sexual abuse and trafficking with children);
  • children who are alone or lack enough support from their families (for example, separated refugee children);
  • children who are affected by armed conflict and disasters (for example child soldiers, refugees). 

SEECRAN - South East European Child Rights Action Network
SEECRAN or South East European Child Rights Action Network is a network of non-governmental organisations, agencies, institutions and individuals promoting the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in the South-East European region.

UNHCR - United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, with the option to return home voluntarily, integrate locally or to resettle in a third country.

UNICEF
UNICEF was established in 1946 by the United Nations General Assembly, in order to help the children from Europe, who had suffered after the end of the Second World War. In 1953, UNICEF became a permanent part of the United Nations system, its aim being to help the children who live in poverty in the developing countries. Together with the governments of the countries where it operates, with the NGOs, other United Nations agencies and partners from the private sector, UNICEF protects the children and their rights by providing services and material support and by developing policies in the children’s best interests.
